First things first, first the route....
Spent some time, several hours in fact, mulling over the OS sheets to see how best to approach the 360. Early on I proposed that I was going to walk to and fro the actual circuit, which adds another couple of days but decided to walk home which adds a day and a half onto the route. The original route drafted out below... One of the original routes of the LN south trail takes in Dores and I wanted to head uphill early, and take in the Lochs of Ashie, and Duntelchaig. Having walked around Duntelchaig many decades ago I thought it was time to see how it, and I have changed. A wild camp at the west end of Duntelchaig will be enough for one day. The plan is then to head for Inverfaragaig and camp on the nearby vitrified fort - Dun Deardail. The image below shows the upstand of Dun Deardail, right of centre, with Loch Ness in the background.
